Where did that come from and should I buy it? : Father Sean

Hey, welcome back to a brand new episode of “Where did that come from and should I buy it?”. Today we are talking about Father Sean, he was added as part of the Easter update.

So, he has only appeared in one episode but was a major character in that episode. The episode was called “The Father, the Son and the Holy guest star” (S16E21). We will be talking about the one and only episode he appeared in today. So, Father Sean is a Roman Catholic priest who is a minister at St. Jerome’s Catholic school. So, Principle Skinner expelled Bart because he thought he had pranked Willie. He was sent to St. Jerome’s school and was punished there. One example of these punishments is being told to hold up 2 dictionaries so he he can feel the pain Jesus was when he was crucified.  From here on, Father Sean met Bart in the hallway and told him about how he turned to Catholicism after a drunken fight with his father. St. Peter ‘appeared’ after the fight and told him to ‘mend his rebellious ways’. Bart gets given a few comics to get him interested in the religion and Bart begins to tell his family about the religion. Marge gets worried and tells Homer to go to the school to talk to the Father. However, Homer see’s a pancake dinner/bingo night event being held and so asks to celebrate the Sacrament of Confession.

After all this happened, they converted to Catholicism because they realised they couldn’t receive absolution without being a Catholic. Meanwhile, Marge is afraid because she thinks she will go to Protestant heaven without the rest of the family. She asks for help and gets help from Ned and Reverent Lovejoy. They capture Bart and take him to a festival. Homer and Father Sean then arrive on a motorbike and have a standoff with Ned and Loevjog after paintballing Marge’s hair. Bart says it’s stupid that all forms of Christianity are feuding and everyone agrees!

So, should you buy him? Unfortuntely, he can only be earned from the Golden box but if he was purchasable, definitely! He was the character of a major episode and goes well with Lovejoy! Happy tapping,
